The wire can go anywhere on the bridge. It's all the same electrically.
It seems kinda odd to me that you manage to build a guitar and can't figure out where to solder the ground wire.
afaik, they're usually soldered to the underside of the tailpiece through a hole in the body.
i cant help you. i can play a guitar, and maybe fix n amp, but build one, thats too much
Dunno why I am still here.

Well you could... but if the strat has a trem bridge, there's a big hole in the guitar.

then what does it matter? Bridge style is really a matter of personal preference.

Pretty much.
Sorry to sound cynical, but I'm not sure how well you'll go building an entire guitar if you don't understand the basic mechanics.
Just sayin'
hey asshole! this is the one thing ever! i never dealt with one of these bridges before1

Please tell me that you're building the neck as well.
I can't wait to see this trainwreck of an instrument.

So you aren't building the guitar? It sounds like your putting together pieces of different guitars. There is nothing wrong with that. It's actually quite fun, but it's no where as difficult as actually BUILDING one.
