No I was DEFINATELY BBS banned as I was not able to post for 3 days after the event. Also, I checked and am still able to send PMs to Idiot-Finder.

Ah, their you go! You were banned from posting on BBS (definitely not by Idiot-Finder since he's not a mod), but a ban on BBS doesn't take away your power to send PM's to people. I pretty sure you can only loose that power if your account is deleted.
