You vote on 5 movies, each getting you 2 experience. After you vote on your 5th you will get a link that says "Click here to deposit your experience!" Click that link and you deposit 10 exp. You can only gain 10 experience a day, the more experience, the higher your level.
The point is... Don't lose your dinosaur.
