I've used getright before, it can resume downloads if you go back to them later, its not the best program but its good for what you want.
My advice is to ditch AOL :P
But when I was on dail-up, I had good results with Getright also. It's worth a try at least.
another good thing about get right is you can sometimes (and i say only sometiemes) open files and use them when they are not fully downloaded - works great with video files etc dont know bout much else
The main advantage of GetRight is that you can download files on the net from multiple sources, just like Kazaa. Of course, you have to know the exact location of the file on each server.
Most download managers are capable of that. However I use Download Accelerator Pro, it's brilliant.

oh, i know. i hate it. any other good ones? getright isnt working for me.
