I know this is a little off topic, ... ok alot, but I was wondering, about light dark and neutral auras, you say light is when you vote lighter on movies, dark is when u vote lower on movies, and neutral is when u vote the same as everyone else, but what if you, say, vote high on the ones that get low votes and low on the votes that get high votes? Im not saying i do that (i dont) but im just curious, is it possible to get a light AND dark aura at once? or would you stay neutral even tho ur voting opposite to everyone? ....

Your aura is effected on how you vote as compared to everyone else. If a movie has a 3.00 and you vote 5, you will move higher into the light, but if you vote 0 or 1 you will move lower into the dark. If you vote 3 you won't move at all, you'll stay where you are at. Just pretend you start at 0, and if you vote 0 on a 3.00 movie you are now -2, and if you keep it up you might end up being -353 and have a hard time coming back to a light aura. :)

I dont know if NG was on, but i have seen it on a program before, a kid was on it while the assasin music was playing, with the old layout.

Sueing seems like a resonable way to go.make 'em cancel the show.I never saw the point of having a tv show about fudge packers,if i wanted to see that i'd watch Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory (arent those umpa lumpa's adorable):).

I don't think you'd get much out of that lawsuit. It would be pretty hypocritical anyway. Sueing a show that aired your website when your showing famous celebrities being mutilated over and over again...And gay people are cool. :P

In my opinion you shouldn't be offended that Queer As Folk had your site up in a scene- consider it an advertising opprotunity? Or think of it as whoever was on your site at the moment thought so highly of your site to be on it while filming. Sure, you can sue, but why? The show didn't hurt you. It didn't defame Newgrounds- actually Newgrounds is one of the only places (online) to amuse me, so its the first place I go. If the show takes any cheap shots at Newgrounds, perhaps then you should consider filing for a suit. I'm not sure it would help with all the downright crude material found on Newgrounds (but the ability for the members to express their opinions to others is what appeals to so many at Newgrounds). I don't believe it is anything to be upset at the moment...

I totally agree with this guy.
WTF is wrong with Newgrounds. Appearing on Queer as Folk and showing gay banners. I have nothing against gay people, but it's ruining Newgrounds.
Also, you should make a NG tv show where you can show NG movies and make money so we don't have to have so many banners.
Also, blam the stuff below a 1.5 rating because it's jacking up the entire server. Too much of it's being uploaded all the time.

Sue them for what? Does anyone have an idea of how the legal system works? Unless there is some sort of liable against NewGrounds or some sort of damage that results from using its image, there is no basis for a lawsuit. So they used a NewGrounds screen in the show? How does that harm NewGround's reputation? The last national publicity that NG got was for a game where you are a suicide bomber and blow people up. There is no possible way that Queer as Folk can damage NG's reputation after something like that.
Besides, it would be incredibly hypocritical for Tom to run out and sue someone who obviously likes the site less than a week after someone threatens NG with yet another lawsuit. In addition, QaF appears on Showtime, which is owned by Viacom, which has more money and lawyers than you can shake a dump truck full of money and layers at. Tom would have to present an amazing case to get any money, and it would be tied up in appeals until sometime in the 30th century.
So in conclusion- lawsuit == very bad idea.

PS. The name "Queer as Folk" comes from an old folk saying from the UK, "there's nothing quite as queer as folk". It means that there is nothing as strange as people. It is a play off of that phrase.
Homosexuality on Newgrounds is exactly what we need. There's so much straight crap going around it's time we got something for the guys who don't exactly like breasts and pussy. But back to the actual topic...
I think it's pretty cool to see Newgrounds on such a popular show. What's next? Sex in the City? Or better yet, Sopranos.
