Ok, many people call a new person who makes a mistake a n00b... I don't like this. I would define a n00b as someone like FELCES, who was tricked into thinking he was a mod. Or dannydingo123, who earlier today, bumped a two year old spam thread saying can i join your club/crew thingy and posting picture spam.
But someone who doesn't know how to do something because they are new... I think calling them a n00b is insulting. They aren't n00bs, they are newbs...
What do you define a n00b as?
n00b = annoying little turd
newb = new person
n00bs: Users who no nothing of NG & refuse to look at the FAQ to find out the answers.
Newbie: Users new to NG who don't quite understand the ways of NG, but are trying to learn.

N00b=Person who does not know something that is really obvious/they really should know.

i only use the term "n00b" on online games... ie: Starcraft, Diablo, etc. and yes, i do define n00b as a new person...
n00b = a person who lacks the intelligence to get the hang of sites and asks and annoys people a lot
newb = a new person on a site
