depends on my situation. If I have mah rubber ducky handy, and I am soar from working out or something I will have a bath. If it's just casual day to day stuff I will have a shower for the speed, and perk-up abilities. In fact I am going to go have a shower right... NOW! *Runs into the shower and furiously turns on the tap*.

I don't know what it is... maybe a throwback to when I was a kid, but whenever I go back to my parents' house or visit my sister in Maryland, I always take a bath while reading a book. I did that all the time when I lived with my folks, ever since I was a kid. Any other time, though, I prefer a shower. As Osamarama said, they're much faster and use less water-- in med school I have little time nor money to spare.

i take a shower first and if i am sore or sick or just need to relax i take a bath after the shower so i dont stew in my own filth

Showers do tend to use more water, but that's the trade-off of not soaking in water that's full of the dirt you just put in it. Showers are essencially washing and then rinsing in one go. Also, the force of the water coming down on you, can push off some of the dirt. In general, running the water over something cleans the object better than dipping it in the water.

Showers do use more water than baths if you stay in the shour for about a half hour. My showers last 10 minutes at most.

Shower to get clean, because they are quick. I stay in them a long time, though, to relax.
Baths are nice to relax in. Add some stuff in the water and just lay back.
Both are nice.

Shower, you get more clean that way. Baths are cosy, but not as effective.
