Neon-Crepth responds:

hey man, thanks for your review. i do remember spending some deal of time on this one but i don't think its my best, mastering wise. i may comeback to this one is a bit. keep an eye out for a new submission coming up.

i will also check out that song.^^ thanks again.

Hi rev.

Eh this tune sounds familiar. It's familiar because I played a tune similar (of course not exactly the same) to this for fun at home. Never did make it a actual song on NG but brings back memories. Your going crazy over the fuzziness. The bass is good. Video game music more than techno in my opinion. It could fit in one of those rpg take turn battle scenes. I think you could have changed up the drums. Maybe less fuzz on the bass. The high pitch sound is what gave me the video game impression. Sounds so 16 bit....or 8 bit. I can't tell difference between 16 bit stuff and 8 bit sounds. In conclusion you get a 5 by me and a 9/10. Quite good for only a 2nd song on NG. Bye for now

Neon-Crepth responds:

thx for the review man. i appreciate all of what you had to say. in retrospect i see what everyone was saying about...well everything. got any new songs?...ill check em out.

Has a complete skeleton, but lacks fill

The bass has a good melody with interesting changes and good reverb. Just two things, it begins disorting up a lot after a while, which is not good, and you can hear the clicks in it after a while.

Lead synth has an interesting pitch-up first note, then continues in a generic trance melody, which sounds way cheesy and not enough thought out, but it has a much better style and melody in the second part, which unluckily is when all the disortion comes in.

Then there's the drums, sounds good, catchy beat though it's just the same on and on. A little break or solo woulda done well some times.

It is a good base song, but it lacks filling and elements. There's so much more I could see in this song. Get your mastering fixed and have some more experimenting with it, then this can turn into a guess what

Neon-Crepth responds:

WAY CHEESY!!?? c'mon.... *sigh* jk. i know there are a lot of generic melodies out there but i haven't really heard that one too much. im glad you enjoyed the other one.

whats a guess what? thx again anyway.

Good job dude

A very nice piece of work, I liked it a lot, the tune was quite catchy, especially when it got deeper into the song. Also the drum beat was fitting for it, as well as the tune towards the middle.

Wat program did u use btw, im curious

Gd luck with future submissions

PS - Thanks for the review :D

Neon-Crepth responds:

Well thank you for the review, I'm really glad that you liked it so much! finally someone who agrees with me about the drums, thx. i used FL Studios 5 producer's edition to make this. lol, this was intended to be for a video game but i got carried away and added too much melody, lol. thank you again and ill review some of your future songs.

pretty cool.

the bass is sorta cheap. i know you spent alot of time mastering it, but it sounds really low quality and buzzy. the string is really buzzy too. i dunno how you do that, but its annoying, expecially with headphones. i like how you switched up the bass around middle of the song. and i love that melody with the string. you did a nice job on that. both parts, the first one and the part with the back up string ,are great.
one other small problem i had with it was when the bass faded out at the one part, it went really fast. i like the beat too, its cool, which snare did you use? you probably should have used a diffrent beat after a while, it got kind of repetitive. you did 'spice up' the hats though, that was pretty cool. oh yea and one more thing, the song had a lot of variety in it, note-wise, but you should have used some more instruments. this only had 3 melodic instruemnts.
5/5 and download, good job. just remember...more instruments and better quality!

Neon-Crepth responds:

Thankyou for the review exodus! i know where you're coming from with most of your comments. however, i do have disagree with some of them. the bass, to me, felt fitting to the song and i didnt hear the buzzyness in the sting. the snare was the third snare in the dance section i think. thank you about the melodies. i realize i should have put alittle more instruments in ther but it was intended to be background music in a game my brothers making.
alsoi i didnt knnow whicg=h part had the fast bass, ill check it out.

thx again. ttyl, and ill review ure songs...
