"Awesome!"

date: June 25, 2009

Rain pours down on a cold night.
A lone figure walks an empty road. One foot before the other, she trudges on.
Tattered cloths and worn shoes a testament to her solitude.
An open doorway spilling light on to the path halts her steps.
She listens to the sound of a child's laughter and smells the aroma of fresh food drifting from the open door.
A slow sad smile blooms upon her face as memories of a long forgotten past whisper to her.
How many paths has she walked?
How many faces has she worn?
How many lives has she lived?
Turning away from the light, she moves on. None of it mattered any more.
No tears fall from eyes that can no longer recall how.
Rain pours down on a cold night.
A lone figure walks an empty road. One foot before the other, she trudges on.
She would walk until she forgot the reason for her solitude.
And after that?
She would keep walking.
And she do it as she has always done.
Alone.

I found this music track and was immediately inspired to write. Very well done! I especially liked the guitar part. The only reason I gave it a less than perfect rating was for two reasons. One: it could have been longer, although it's fine the way it is; and Two: I think adding some lyrics would go very well with the piece as a whole. Other than that, it was brilliant! Keep up the good work!

Liked the guitar addition, bass was OK. Would be nice to hear a lowered bass version, for comparison.

RESPECT.

"Ambience alright!"

date: July 22, 2008

sad? sorrowful? Hm, that's another question. Doesn't sound like that to me. Sorry. The blues guitar solo is a nice touch to this but for me it's not very well fitting in this contest. As you pointed out yourself it's more DarK (lol) Ambience.

So overall I say good sound quality and well done, though I doubt that it will score in the contest...buut, ya never know. ;)
