Made in fl studio, this piece was made entirely in the piano roll editor to practice further techniques with different percussion sets and a sort of ambient styled instrumentation.

Alright. All in my opinion of course.

As a videogame background theme: amazing stuff. I was excepting some crappy stuff but everything was right. The melody is enjoyable and really feels like it should be put right away in a videogame. The percussions are osom, really nothing else to say other than very well done.

As a song by itself: it gets boring after 3 minutes. You change the melodies a bit, but you don't change the general structure, so it's basically always the same just with different notes. But who cares, this was probably meant to be a videogame song so...

i think i see what you mean there. that problem sounds a lot like an extension of a problem i had with my old works when it came to writing basslines. i had a hard time making new things, so i tried to keep the structure stable. in the case of a song by itself, that will bite me later if i cant learn from that. the percussion is a grand example of this. its the most repetitive thing in it i believe.
