Pitch black hair tangled across his deeply tanned face, he always had been an outdoorsman, traveler.. one who had been raised and hunted together with the giants of the northeast for a simple living. Now living in the city a bit of a sightsee.
Built like a strongman at his relative young age.. he would turn twenty eight in a month. He kept to himself, didnt bother his surroundings nor would accept botherances into his life.. except perhaps one.

"We should go to the park" a younger called from across the open room of a groundlevel appartement. "Its rememberance day"

'ah yes, the city's very own celebration of how an old curse was layed to rest by the new state's re-founder turned president.. what a load of crap..'

"come on man, youre way too negative, lighten up a little.. atleast theres drinks" His fellow replied.

He was always more cheerful than him, that bouncy slim figure with messy chestnut hair and eyes as vibrant green as his were hazel, but he needed the enthousiasm that didnt come on its own.. he had a gloom inside him that he couldnt shake off.

'So you can follow me around again?'.. '

"Almes" the younger adressed him by name.. "im not a kid anymore, were equals now."

'right, equals it is to you now huh..' Almes shrugged it off... 'Fine then we will go to the park and see whats up, but if you get into trouble again im gone and its each to their own'.
He then stood up and started sheating a twohander.

"really?" his fellow commented. "Its a fair.. not a fight"

'Its always a fight with you' Almes sneered leaving the appartement without pause, shoving his fellow aside.

'you little shit, you pickpocketed me' Almes cussed out a kid that had swept past him a moment earlier, in a flash Almes had grabbed and thrown the brat against an alley wall. 'give it back'
Just beside the alley people passed but noone took mind, it was an ordinary sight in the city since the old order was replaced, the new government had no interest in the wellbeing of the market, they had abolished that form of desire.. now it was each to their own.

"I pickpocket everyone, its nothing personal" the kid yelled in defence, pushing and pulling to escape as Almes grabbed the thief by the coat and pulled it up along the wall.
"Y..youre pretty strong" it whimpered now..

'Give it back right now, last warning'

The kid quickly gave Almes a small item of seemingly uninportance and pleaded in simple fashion; "let me go now?"

Almes looked at the kid still held aloft, it was obviously just a poor street thug.. the peace and quiet of the city had been in decline since the old order had dispersed allright, people for some reason couldnt handle their freedom, a sad sight to behold.. even though the past order; Iucando desino' ruled by inducing fear people now preyed on eachother the more even in its abscense.
The kingdom had been in chaos, without the kingship that stood for it or the guilds that comitted to a deathstreak through the city in a flurry of violence. Almes repeated; "Everyone for himself now'.. But still, it was just a kid, no need to take it all out on a kid..

"Fine, ill let you go, but stay the hell away from me" Almes gave in with a more forgiving tone.

~But the kid never did, everywhere Almes went there would be one to shadow him.. Though Almes knew, he allowed it because in a way it meant he no longer was isolated to himself and his gloom.
Before long a careful attempt to communicate sprouted a fragile tolerance for the kid all untill that blasted rememberance day.
