I opened Fl today and made a chord progression using the Orion Strings preset that no one ever thinks to use. Then, an hour later, I'd built strings and gamelon sounds around it and created this.

This borrows from my earlier song, "Alone and Adrift in the Darkness of Space," and could be considered a sort of sequel to the song. I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed making it.

Really great! I do feel this is more ambient-like than classical as such, but it's really nice. It's almost like I'm soaring through the night sky and feeling the stars and clouds drift through my hands with cities and oceans sprawling underneath and all that stuff! Only great pieces of music makes me picture that kind of stuff in my head.

very enjoyable, i also loved the background sounds and the sitar

I really liked it! I have been really enjoying your music keep it up!

Thank you, I'm glad you're tuned in!

Wow. This is really, really good, even compared to the rest of your music.

The strings sound really good in the intro. The introduction is just so powerful, it completely sets the tone of the song and just sounds so good. The high pitched string is powerful, but not overpowering. It sounds really awesome, I can't say much more than that or give you constructive feedback for that part. Amazing job.

At first, I didn't like the silence at 0:55, but now I realize it isn't really bad by any accounts. It actually lasts exactly what I would expect, for as many times as I expected. I also like the sitar that was thrown in there, you really know how to fit an instrument unlike all the others into a song perfectly. Then the bass comes in, it sounds great along with the piano. At 1:23, the strings come back in with the sitar, and it all sounds great. It just keeps getting better and better. Actually, I can't really give you constructive feedback at all because I like everything about it. There's no real point in the song where I think something sounds wrong or off.

And then, it just ends. I was actually surprised when I first listened to it, not knowing how long it was. It was getting so good, but it ended way too quickly and too soon. It was too short, considering how good it was and how much better it kept getting, and it ended a bit too suddenly.

Honestly, this is really good, but it was too short! That's my only complaint. It was good enough and varied enough that it could have been longer, and I expected it to be given that it just kept getting more varied and it was getting really good pretty much right before it ended.

I guess my complaint is that I like the song too much for it to end.

Typical Retroman...

RetromanOMG responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed this. Admittedly, this is one of the only times I've made a song that was a constant, changing motion, as opposed to repeating the same patterns over and over, and as a result, I couldn't generate enough ideas to possibly extend it. I felt it was best to keep it around 2 minutes long instead of make something close to 4 or 5 minutes and have it potentially get boring.

Thanks again for the review; they're always appreciated!

Saw this on the front page. I love it!
Keep on making music man.

RetromanOMG responds:

Thanks! And I plan to.
