I'm really digging your jazz influence.
This is by far my biggest project to date, both in length (almost 5 minutes) and in time I spent on it (over 20 hours)! It's also my first project I uploaded to NG that I made in FL 11. All of my other ones were made in FL 10. I began it back in May 2012, actually made some progress starting in July 2013, and finally watched it come together this fall. I tried to make it sound more authentic this time, and I didn't stay TOO loyal to the original. ;) Please listen with headphones for maximum bass.
Btw, this song is dedicated to my father. I know how much he likes opera music, but I didn't feel comfortable making opera so I went with jazz! XD Merry Christmas, Dad! :D
So, exactly one year, one week, and one day after I uploaded the original, "Walls," here's Walls 2! Thanks everyone, and enjoy! ;D
I'm really digging your jazz influence.
Thanks! It's a genre I've written in a lot considering how seldom I listen to jazz IRL.
This review started when I opened your newest jazz song and saw your post "This is by far my biggest project to date." Naturally, I listened to the whole thing and really noticed the little details in this song. I love the fact that it's jazz and the hi hat and piano really stand out and are staying in line with jazz. Also, the organ had really good chords and I was trying to follow the scale but it sounded like a lot of sharps? Anyway, it's always difficult to get newgrounds away from dubstep and techno so you get 4.5 for good work.
Thanks so much, Mistarogerz! :D The piano part on the refrain is basically the notes of the chords are playing, except with some rhythmic variation. I do still consider techno and trance my main genres, but I'd love to experiment more with non-EDM stuff. Thanks again! ;D
Hahaha you've found my weakness!
I love jazz!
and this song here is full of variety and wonder!
I just love it!
Great job!
Thank you so much, TeraVex! :D I was starting to think that there was TOO much variety in this song so that it was incoherent, but thanks for changing my view of that! Thanks so much for the support, man. ;D
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
