A reworking of a song I did a year ago. Better quality, extra melody, etc. There is a bit of fucking around in the beginning, but I get serious after that.

Influenced by spaghetti western music. Can't you tell?

I like the intro. Reminds me of an opening to a movie or video game but then that synth comes in and I just was a big fan of it. The synth sounds a bit too 80/90s cheesy for me but that may just be personal preference. I kind of wish the rest of the song would have stayed like it did in the beginning. Feels like the two vibes from the intro/outro and the middle are too different in what they're trying to accomplish.

I like the quiet part that comes in around the 1:45ish mark. It adds a nice calm part to the song and is reminiscent of the intro. Good way to end it.

JoshuaHughes responds:

Thanks for the review, man! I've been thinking about working on this piece some more and I thought I could use a little more insight.

I'll be honest, the western music thing didn't really come to my head the first time around. Then I read the description and listened to it again. I can definitely see the influence now, and it's pretty cool. Makes for a unique tone. I have never in my life ever thought of techno and western mixing lol. Anyway, I don't really have any gripes with this piece. You used a bunch of great sounds, and the song had all kinds of variety. Overall a great song! I enjoyed it a lot.

JoshuaHughes responds:

Appreciate it, Lethal.

I never would have imagined that electronic music could capture the western theme so well.
The way you pay homage to the classic sound whilst simultaneously turning it on it's head is brilliant.
You've given me quite a bit to think about as a composer, so thanks for that!

JoshuaHughes responds:

Wow, static. I never thought anything I made would influence someone to such a level. I am truly humbled.
