Like a Story

This song sort of forms a story. It starts off increasing in velocity almost like a chase. Which leads into a sort of searching or wandering theme theme. Then there's rapid tones like a battle. With a softening end. It's like a short piece that can inspire.

cool!

ow! don't smash your piano! even if it creates awesome music! >__< a bit short, but still nice. its really different from most other piano pieces i hear on ng. nice work.

now

This is one trippy song!
I generally don´t like classical, but the classical at Newgrounds is a totally different kind of classical than usual.. I would have said, if it wasn´t for you, who make classical just as everyone "Real life" composer.

However, I could classify you better than Grieg and Mozart and these douches cuz they suck and you are much better!

If you added an echo to the piano, it would sound much better, because it would have added a special feeling into it, instead of your usual classical piece.

But this was another nice classical piece from you, Wintang, it´s a like!

Originality here goes a 4. Piano is one of the most used instruments, say THE most used instrument, EVEr.

Clarity is a 10. Again flawless.

Diversity is a 9. It´s a lot.

Effort is a 8. You could have added more into this, but you seem to have worked hard though.

Overall; 8 great work

WinTang responds:

Haha - very unorthodox there, bashing two widely worshipped composers (who are pretty far apart by the way). Very flattering that you see I'm better, even though it's not true :)

Yes, piano is the most used instruments, but that's because it's so diverse in itself, it's a format and style of its own, and can be used in many original ways.

Agree with your other ratings, and with the fact that the piano doesn't sound half as well as it could've.

loved it

I really enjoyed this song as well as all your other pieces. I wish I could give you some pointers but its obvious you know way more about music than I. So, I shall bid you farewell. Keep on keeping on.

WinTang responds:

Thanks - that was heartwarming :)

chopin with a hint of monk

really nice moments in this, some of the blue note scatyness meminded me of thelonius monk, were dubussy moments too. great stuff, i think some people have given technical pointers in other reviews, i couldnt comment, but theres enuf feeling and personality here to make technicalities seem moot
;ped

WinTang responds:

Dude, Monk?! Kickass!! Wow, that was an unexpected pleasure :)
Thanks for seeing through the technicalities my man, you're a valuable costumer!
