Here is a little experiment I did :)
I wanted to go for an orchestral thing, but I didn't really have any good orchestra VSTs to work with, so I used synths instead.
and I didn't really know what else to add to the song, it sounded complete to mee haha,

Also, I couldn't really think of a good title, so I chose a japanese word instead hahah
It think Shinjitsu means truth (:

Enjoy!
Also, this is for the NGADM 2013 round 3

I like the song, especially the piano.

NGADM R.3 Review:

What I liked:
- The piano was crisp and clear, and was written well.
- Overall, I liked the theme of the song a lot, it just sounded nice.
- The tempo variation was a nice touch, I'm a big fan of when people slowdown or speed up the tempo for added dramatic effect, such as the moment right before the lift in the song.

What I didn't:
- Unfortunately, while I did like the overall writing of this, I wasn't a fan of the synth, I thought it clashed a bit too much with the song and what it was trying to be. It just didn't fit in right, and I think you would have been better off finding a soundfont for some strings or something to replace it with, even if they weren't the best of quality.
- It feels unfinished, it's not that the ending is bad, it's just, after it ends, I can feel it flowing into something else, but that never happens, it just dies.

Overall:
I really liked the overall theme of this song, but honestly think you would have been much better off finding some free soundfont or something to use in place of the synths, because they really do clash with not only the theme of the song, but they just don't really feel natural in this setting.
However, if a little confused by the choice of instruments, still a good song regardless.

NGADM Review

---

Loved the introduction to this track, it is so peaceful. I will reiterate what everyone else has said about the piano melody – it is just fantastic. The oriental theme that this piece gives off is perfectly executed in my mind, every instrument hits the nail right on the head with the proper timing. Your overall composition is great and I love the idea of using the synth orchestration, it really adds that unique touch.

I felt as if the conclusion of this track was lacking something, it seemed rushed and was cut far too short. You seem to stick to the one melody and while it remains prevalent throughout the track, it would have been nice to hear a little variation...however, the song is only 2:02 so it isn't a huge issue. There was some clipping, but that's an easy fix.

Great track, I love the title! I would like to hear more stuff like this. :)

Score: 8/10

This is an NGADM Round 3 Review.

What I liked:
-I like how oriental the piano sounds.
-The concept is pretty unique!
-Nice modulation!
-I like the snare drum a lot.

What could have been better:
-The piano works when the synth comes in, but it sounds a little dry on it's own.
-While the concept is pretty neat, it feels a little forced when the synth comes in, almost out of place.
-The chord progression feels a little generic at times, though not without unique twists.

Overall this is a neat piece, but feels a little rushed and unfinished. Keep thinking outside the box!

- NGADM Round 3 Review

You have some really nice piano melodies (some of which sound very familiar, repetitive, and lacking a bit in the originality department). I do have to say that the synths introduced at 1:00 make for a strange mix that takes time getting used to. The way you back your main tune at 1:26 is done rather well, and produces a nice, full sound, and your percussion is decent, as well – although I think the rolling of the snares in its final measure around 1:45 could have been altered, as the simple slowing of the tempo at that part instead of making a conclusive pattern for it sounds too simple. Your ending also comes unexpectedly early with such a short transition. The thing this track could most benefit from is an expansion on length with variation to offset the repetition in the main melody.
