Pride, Swallow

Echo, be thine light
Shine unto me and crave
Illness of separation
From self to dust
And spread me thin
Among the seeds
Of infinite eyes
Glancing at thee
Acrid is the ardor
Of pleasures bound
Thus forward I see
To seek and surround
The pews of myself
With the deadened doubt
Wither the flowers of mourning
And watch thine tears shine
A scarlet mist my lungs release
To shower my pale flesh
Expose the will of the weak
Tear down the barbed fences
Allot this space
Of disgrace
It's mine and solitude
Drawn in chalk
Down your spine
As a winter chill
To ice thy eyes
Weather this torment
As a storm of needles
The end, once in sight
Will be a sour reward
I paint the blade
Across the surface
Of an unending day
And forget to regret
All the things that I'm
Too cowardly to say
