finally finished with My submition to the Ngadm 2012!
round 1. im put up against FairSquare this time!
Good luck everyone!
This is a dark orchestral+electronic track where i pictured a alien invasion on earth, and the final battle for our planet.
This track took me so long to finish due to problems with ym computer and the ram failing me. i need a new computer!
enjoy!

It's like the FarScape theme, but quiet, evil, and without that horrible yell.

[...]An alien invasion on Earth, and a final battle for our planet[...]
"I am is Cmdr. Shepard and this is my favorite songwriter in the Newgrounds' Citadel."
The beginning fits perfectly with the reapers theme. Reminds me well of the song played at the Earth escape at the beginning of the game. Very well done!

Seriously, sometimes I forget how good your are. But oh my god, this track is done so amazingly well, I'm kind of speechless. I mean you've got an amazing transition from the orchestral part to the electronic fusion, the effects you use to build it up in a subtle way, the whole dynamic course in the track, the atmosphere, it's just amazing. Extremely well done, and a big fav and 5/5 from me!

Very good song reminded of a standoff or a Final Boss Battle of a game. God I love this

Overall, an expertly made piece- it was immersive, well mixed and had a definite 'alien invasion' feel to it. However, I personally felt it needed a definitive melody once it picks up into the latter half. The suspense of the first half leaves the listenener anticipating an onslaught of musical intensity- which certainly seems to deliver- but I kept expecting a powerful melodic section to kick in, to really make it unique and 'stand out' from pieces of a similar contextual basis.
As it is, it's an absolutely phenomenal track, but it's a little too generic and repetetive to secure a solid 10/10. It's possible that I'm being overly critical, of course, but when music is as good as yours, it's hard to find areas for improvement!
