Well, I think it's done, and just before dawn too (for me anyway). I will probably notice about 50 more things wrong with it though (I already hear 1). May go back and fix them, but my cpu can't handle much more (there's like 20 instruments, not counting drum samples, and an insane number of effects) and so ya, my computer is shit. I hope you enjoy this one.

Main drop at 3:50

NOTE:
I will upload an update for Safety First soon, but I learned new things and am working on mastering whatever i can (or at least becoming proficient at them) so I can bring you better stuff in the coming year. In short, I may only post 1 or 2 more full tracks this month, and Safety First may or may not be one of them.

Look forward to a preview of a rather housey track that i should be posting within the month.

As always, let me know what you think.

i like it, somehow...

the drums sound really smooth. it gives ya a nice feeling when hearing it.
like before this 8-bit sound is sick!
you even used some short wobbles (2:38) right? ;)
also great: you used the 8-bit sound during the "normal" drop right after 2:38
to the real drop: good idea with that high sound in the background (how do ya call those sounds? i'm curious you know ^^)
nice ending when the rythm changes a bit
kinda like it =D

quality: 4/5 (during the drops the sounds drown out each other)

stars: quality 4/5
taste: 4/5 (really trancy, but not too calm anymore!)
respect 3 good tracks in a row. favourited =)

jbarnett responds:

at 2:38, those are high pass filter cutoff automations. this pretty much means that the lower portion of the sound is cut out, as opposed to a low pass filter, where the top end is cut. a "wobble" as most people define it these days is usually done with a low frequency oscillator (LFO) that controls the amount of low pass cutoff applied to the sound.

as for the sounds getting drowned out, i had peaking issues that i didnt know how to fix, and i kind of ghetto rigged it so there wasnt any high or low end distortion. this caused the highs to cut out a bit, thus causing the oddity.

as i have taught myself pretty much everything i know about production, and have no formal education in the field, there are many errors in my tracks, but im getting better every time.

thanks for the support
