A song about the origin of evil, based on a saying. So it's not about an actual mother who is evil, just to make that clear :) I selected "Heavy Metal" as the genre, but I think it's more like slow Symphonic Metal or something.
The song is written and partially performed by me; that is, the drums, piano and lead vocals. The rest of the instruments are played by friends of mine. It's not produced by me.
Lyrics:
Lonely child get all the sympathy
Poor little child
But wait, what's this
Seems little child is full of hatred
Hurting someone else
Now lonely child those things you do aint right
Bad little child
Your suffering deserved compassion once
but you did wrong
You're forever burned
Anxiety is the mother of evil
and violence is the lost child's cry for help
Will they hurt me now
My anxiety, it gave birth to an evil
and violence, for my lost child never helped
And they hurt me now
So, I realize
it's getting harder to empathize
There's nothing left to understand
But I must emphasize
the reason for us to sympathize
It is the only way out
Lonely child, what you see is what you do
Treat as you've treated been
Cause pain, it spawns more pain
The mother gives birth again
Anxiety is the mother of evil
and violence is the lost child's cry for help
Will they hurt me now
My anxiety, it gave birth to an evil
and violence, for my lost child never helped
So they hurt me now
How can I have more than pain to give
When pain was all given to me
How can I be more than a monster
When a monster is all you see in me
Doesn't matter if I'm good
I am never understood
If I'm evil then at least
I am seen
But if you never see the person behind the deed
Then that's all I can be
Anxiety is the mother of evil
and violence is the lost child's cry for help
Will they hurt me now
My anxiety, it gave birth to an evil
and violence, for my lost child never helped
So they hurt me now
And they hurt me now
I hurt him now
They hurt me now
I hurt her now
And they hurt me now
I hurt him now
They hurt me now
I hurt her now
And they hurt me now
I hurt him now
They hurt me now
I hurt her now
And they hurt me now
I hurt him now
They hurt me now
I hurt her now
They forgive me now
