Darn

I really wanted to love this piece. The melody was good, but it was way too long to stay the same throughout. If you had a nice Hip-Hop drum-beat behind it, it would be nearly perfect for me.

I did like the vocal samples a lot.

The drums are the main thing that took me away from this, the pattern you had just didn't sound very pleasing. The instruments for the drums, were ok, but the pattern could have been so much better. I've got to agree with saku, you could have added a bit more percussion between the drums.

I still would've loved a nice Hip-Hop drum beat here.

Good song, nice vocal samples

I like the rhythm of the song. It doesn't change too much throughout the song, but it gets stuck in my head and it also creates a pretty nice atmosphere.

I also like the added vocal samples, they make the song much more enjoyable as they fit perfectly to the music and intensify the nice atmosphere.

The outro is done in a good way as well. The slow fade out fits very good here; but maybe the silence at the end of the song is a bit too long.

Anyway, I like this song.

Pretty sick little groove :]

I actually really dug the overall feel of this right off the get-go; The heavy echo/ambient feeling that this has really hit a sweet spot with me, and the percussion actually seemed to suit the mix well... despite its power in comparison to your softer instruments. I also really like what you did with your heavy delay effects as well; really quite brilliant :]

If I could change anything here:
- I would probably add more percussion instruments in between the Hat/ Snare/ Kick mixture here, and I would pull that snare back a bit (it does sound great but it's just a bit too overpowering here)

Overall Really chilled, I enjoyed this piece a lot.

Pretty relaxing.

While there isn't much variation in the song, it still manages to not be very repetitive. That's a pretty good thing of course.

I like the drum beats and I don't really think they're THAT loud compared the rest of the song, but I guess they are a little loud. They are really good though, I like the minor variations in the beat as the song goes along and they really support the rest of the song.

The vocals are really cool. I can't tell what they're saying, but they work and they help the song get across a more relaxing feel overall. Good job on those.

About the songs genre, I agree that it's not really hip hop, I think that the closest genre would definitely be ambient.

Overall, good job. A few minor issues, but nothing too noticeable.

Not what I'd call hip-hop

But what do I know? I think that the intro to the piece was a little quiet and it could have either been shortened or made slightly more imposing, to get a little more interest from the listeners, getting them into the track.

The vocal samples were a little sparse for me, loosely joining in with the rest of the track. I'm not suggesting actual lyrics for this piece, but the vocals could have been used to greater effect. Possibly a conversation over a radio, or something similar, in this instance.

The pace was good and while the bass wasn't as imposing as I thought it should have been, you've still come out with an above average track, which surprised and impressed me, to say the least.
