Deep in the labs was a forest unlike any other. What seemed alive was in fact all an illusion constructed by man, but to what purpose?

New project!

Given technical circumstances, I am revisiting an old game idea of mine and trying to refine it and make it not awful! How daring. In the process of this, we have a nice new song for the first area I've come up with for the thing, a man-made forest of mechanical beasts and trees whose vines are as much metal as they are flora.

I played with a piano for realsies for the first time here, and am pretty happy with it! Improvised the melody as I went, and had a lot of fun! c: The blippies are also my first attempt at using 3xOsc, and Erik (blackhole12) helped me out and started teaching me some sidechaining basics while he worked magic over the mastering to even things out. It came out really nice, I think! O:

Flash video story?

This would make great background music to a flash video. Just as long as it followed your description for the music, I'm sure it would be good. By the way, I've seen your art, and I think it looks really good.

Beautiful Beat

The whole idea behind the piece heavily reminds me of the Gapra WhiteWood in FFXIII. The sound is really well put together, very peaceful background music. Yet, it is repetitive and metallic enough to give a very machine vibe.

Can't stop listening

This is just so well executed. It seems like almost every time I pop back onto NG, I have to come and listen to this song at least once. This is probably my favorite track of all time!

The melody is excellent; it really gives you that feel of a serene forest or jungle while at the same time, it gives you a sense of the future and how technology has been integrated into nature. I especially love the inclusion of the piano because it's so melodic, and it really set the tone of the music like no other instrument can.

A perfect 5/5 and 10/10, downloaded, favorited, and all of my praise!

Mild, yet Intense

The name is what first caught my eye. Very rarely can I say that a song induces a feeling of emotion in me, but this song does. I feel sort of melancholy, yet invigorated at the same time. It also instills a sort of sense of nostalgia, as it kind of reminds me of the old Mega Man X games for some reason. I wish I could find words to better describe this song, but I really can't. Love it, got it, listen to in my car on the way to work.

Haha so it does everything I want it to then. Excellent~

Darin's story is melancholy, the game starting at quite possibly his lowest point, but here is where freedom sets in a bit and he starts feeling hopeful again.

As for nostalgia, I'm kinda going for some sort Metroidvanian Mega Man ZX sort of thing, I guess, so there's plenty of room for that too. C:
