Originally a collab with Spwee (ScratchMyBalls). Turned out like this...

Rough plan of finished product. Needs more SFX to make the transitions smoother. If there's anything else you notice that needs fixing, please leave some feedback.

Thanks.

*WAIT FOR THE DROP*

1:30ish, should probably make a shorter intro...

Well, very slow start.

And the bass is lacking for the most part throughout most of this piece. You are definitely getting the hang of how the drop should be, but now you need bring the bass to a more central role alongside the synths. I can definitely see you're improving, which is good :)

TuRdz responds:

Thanks man! :D

Pretty good

Yeah its pretty cool... but there are a lot of things that could be easily improved. First off, the drums. They are not full enough to give the song a good swing and flow. Your snare is too bland, you should add some reverb and spread as well as maybe another layer. The kick is not punchy enough but you can easily fix that. Add some hats across the bars and play with the velocity to create ramps that add a lot to the music.

Right now I'm using some sub par speakers so I can't really detect any sub bass so I'm not sure if you used any, but if you didn't, layering your wobble and creating drop-outs is a great way to make things sound a lot "bigger".

The idea is here, though, and with some refinement you could have a real winner here. Also the intro is way too long, make it less than 48 bars. 32 is the standard for an intro, but seriously, fuck the standards.

Cheers, and check out my stuff

Thanks for the helpful feedback! :)

Different..

but im open to different.. and i like this alot ;D

TuRdz responds:

Thanks man!

well

i think the dubstep overpowers the harmony for the most part but i do enjoy how loud it it just make the harmony stand out more because when the heavy dubstep comes in at 3:25 its like there isnt a harmony at al which makes it sound a little bland and dry but for concept i think its amazing very well thought out i specifically enjoy how the beginning build works it has that "epic" feel i expect to get when i listen to dubstep music

TuRdz responds:

Oh shit! My reply didn't save itself :$ That's embarrassing...Anyway, thanks for the review decoy. I did think the lead was a bit quiet :D I'll be sure to fix it up.

Oh and the epic build was ALL Spwee. hahaha, all I did was attempt to mix it down, add the wobbles, and make the song drag on for 3 more minutes.

I know what you mean by that 'epic' build up thingo. Doctor P & Flux Pavillion made the best one of all time in their remix of Louder by DJ Fresh. Get's my panties wet every time...That's normal right?

anywhore, thanks for the review man!

Deeper drop, different drop sound.

Sure it was funny, but it just didn't really spark it for me if you were aiming for deep or something. But yeah, try throwing all your dubstep sounds one octave, you'll come out with better sounds, I promise ;).

Few more pointers: Get a different kick and snare. The kick is too hard in the sense of treble, get a deeper kick. As for the snare it's too short, but it still works.

This is just my opinion but I never cared for the screamers, they just sound weird, but overall still a good song, just not my choice of sounds :P.

TuRdz responds:

Lol, thanks man! I'll probably add some reverb to the snare, I'll change up the kick too. And I'll might get some different voice clips.

Thanks for the pointers! Appreciate mate! :D
