So.. as a final attempt to come up with something interesting I could call my own in dubstep/drumstep, I bring you Nightlife. It's taken me the longest to come up with ideas for this song, across 5 different projects. Even still, I think it's lacking a lot of sounds and moments to really make it stand out, but I've got more then enough to deal with right now and I rather get it out the way. I'll be taking my standards back to my old ways and style, eventually coming back to this road to conquer it.

EDIT 7/20: Wow, 2 weeks, 2 songs in the Top 30. I'd have to thank all my followers and listeners. As inactive as I am I'm surprised I even got both of them, but nonetheless I'm thankful for the chance to at least get some exposure out there. Hopefully I can get some better quality songs out and get some nice reviews to improve on my craft.
Mass Effect 2
I liked this song, but couldn't help but notice that this sounded a lot like the Mass Effect 2 soundtrack...

I've never heard the music in Mass Effect 2, nor have I played it, so I can't really say that was even a close influence.

Yeah, I'm too lazy to write those big boring reviews. Where do people find the time to listen to the music, think for two minutes before each sentence is written in the review, and end up with a novel?

hrrmm...
ok, dont judge me, im a massive critic when it comes to.....everything. and by critic, i mean i judge you, but i have nothing to show from me so i cant be judged.
ok, review time! (applause, 'thank you,thank you') ok, this is a very different piece. it fits right into this genre, but as far as the actual type of music goes...this is a work all its own. the guy before me says, 'smooth as butter' and i agree. it doesnt go very far as far as dynamics and varying effects, and i cant see this as a background music for anything, but i saw your icon and profile picture and i immediately envisioned a dark, flowing substance contorting to this music, and it was beautiful!! im reminded of pink floyd in the fact thats its a work all its own and has no equal. keep doin what ur doin dude!!

I guess that's all I can ask for. Standing out from other artists is what I strive to do. I could borrow a certain style or idea from someone, but what I try to make is all original. It's great to see that other people, other listeners, enjoy what I make, and I take each and every comment to heart. As long as I can grow as a audio artist, it makes everything better.
