Great song but Killed the silent hill mood

Well first off i'm a HUGE silent hill fan. Just to suggests something to a silent hill fan to look at:
silent hill offical movie
silent hill:no escape (it's free and avalible on the site (google it)it's a full-legnth cgi movie based on silent hill and it's magnificant.
silent hill: lost memories (translated book)
silent hill 5 coming soon
ok well. Now on to the review the song was great. But due to the up-beat sound and pace I found it killed the silent hill mood. Due to resident evil 4 and how sh 4 was leaning towards more action maybe the tracks might end up like this in sh 5. Who knows All i'm gonna say is keep up the good work, but next time you wanna make a silent hill tribute song I suggest somthing slower and darker. Buy the silent hill 2 soundtrack you'll be blown away and that should be enough inspiration to do a darker song.

Xiro responds:

As a matter of fact, I'm a huge Silent Hill afficionado myself.

I own all the soundtracks and was overjoyed that they hired on the same musical genious to do the soundtrack for the film. The CGI film is new to me though, thanks for clueing me in.

At any rate, silent hill though it may be, I certainly couldn't just "turn off" so to speak, my style of mixing.

Perhaps you listened to the other remix as well?

Neat stuff.

Sweet melody, the vibe was quite dark and tense.

Have you played the newest Silent Hill... that was SO messed in the head... these japanese people... honestly!!

Still this was a sick beat, again even with limited resources, you've made it quite outstanding.

The harpischord and notes playing in the intro were slightly odd though, I didn't get into them, I feel if you just started off with the repeating note, and scrap the whole harpischord beginning, it would be better.

If you require assistance finding/installing/using VST's for better sounds, my AIM is MaestroSorrow, i'd be glad to help, you have the ear and potential, you just need the right software now.

5/5, keep them coming or die.

Xiro responds:

Yeah, the limitations of the basic sound kits...majorly suck
I want some of the like...20,000 sound kits you can get from the website, but I'm broke as hell.....
