So this is for the hip hop sample comp. Lets start naming what I did. OK so all thedrums cept a couple hats are from John Zorn - Larkspur. I took 3 little percussion hits from Antibalas - I.C.E. those would be the hats.
Then the low horn sounding thing that starts at :21 I took from Antibalas - I.C.E and pitched way down stretched it then copied it and pitched the second one down more.
The piano and bass that ride through the whole beat are from Sufjan Stevens - They are Night Zombies.
I also used a little of the organ in the backround.
And lastly I used the piano roll from John Zorn - Pacifica thats at 1:10 in his song. I took that and time stretched it out and then changed the options so it kept the same pitch but was stretched out, and just used the parts that I liked on the 1st and 3rd bars in the beginning of the song, then it leaves and then comes back.
and one sound I forgot to list off is the reverse sweep that is under the bass... that is from the first horn sound in Antibalas - Indictment slowed down and reversed.

I'm really diggin this. It's got a jazzy, futuristic vibe that flows so well, yet your cuts of the samples give a choppy kind of feel which only adds to the amazingly unorthodox drum line.
This track is beast. Would def like to put some words on it.
hey thanks much for the feedback. I might hit you up about getting on it.
