Sample: camoshark--.:Stroll on Tenth Avenue:.(http://www.newgr ounds.com/audio/listen/36 0257)

25th Street is one of the areas in town I used to hang out at a lot. Ate at the Taco Bell and snow cone stand a lot, cruised, blah blah. So that, coupled with the name of the sample inspired the title of this song.

Pretty much what I did with this was take camoshark's loop, sliced it into sections, EQ'ed it to bring out the bass more, and used my own drums. It's pretty repetitive, but I think it would be a pretty good beat for rapping over. So give me some feedback, your opinion matters!

swoit

sounds cool the bass is a bit too strong i reckon. swoit. thanks for the review too (:

JackRocker responds:

appreciate the review! your feedback is appreciated, it helps me know what i need to work on. as soon as i have a good pair of headphones, i'm going to remaster this. my current pair color the sound way too much, so how i hear my music sounds a lot different from the way other people hear it. makes me sad, lulz.

To be honest

I agree with the first guy, the beat isn't mastered too well but with some vocals it would sound fucking dope!

Still voted 5 but :)

JackRocker responds:

appreciate the review. i'm planning on remastering this when i have some better equipment and more experience. thanks for taking the time to check this out.

Love the drums

Great job with the bass too. downloaded. props!

JackRocker responds:

i appreciate the review, but i think i have to agree more with Gunner-D on this one. the mastering was terrible. when i listen on anything other than my headphones it sounds like total crap. i'm trying to find some decent equipment, and work on developing some production skills, but really, this could have been much better. glad you like it though. thanks a lot.

eeh

sounds kinda cheezy and midi. I mean, with GREAT vocals (and I stress, no less than great), it could be a superb track. Just sounds a little like a poor man's 'dragnet' beat.

JackRocker responds:

i appreciate the review. i think the main problem is my lack of mastering abilities, or proper equipment, both issues i'm working on resolving. that, and i'm pretty new to the whole hip hop thing. but i can totally see what you mean. thanks for the honest feedback.
