I made this song 3 years after my grandfather passed away, and dedicate it to him.

Great!

I imagine a man sneaking into a fortress, and he is incapacitating the guards, with much skill. I love this piece. Very quick and fast. I might use it while roleplaying on WoW, for some boss fight or a plan.

man...

Just amaaaaaazing !!!!!! wow

Interesting title.

But I imagine the title, "Darkest Days," to sound a bit more depressing sounding.

One of the more dramatic/action sounding songs you have, not entirely my taste, but respect must be given for making it. A lot of your action stuff makes me think of some of the levels on halo. Damn man, you've got some seriously high quality work here...

My worst complaint is that some parts feel a bit too loud compared to the rest of the song, not sure what that is exactly. Oh, and the title doesn't fit the music I think, which is pretty pretty miniscule criticism, haha. Good job.

FlaggedOnArrival responds:

I kind of didn't want the music to fit the title, because although they were dark days indeed, after his passing... I wanted to remember him and honor him in a lighter tone. So, if you think about it, this song is about the light piercing through the darkness.

You seemed...

Down. I got your message and read some of your posts. It seems like you're letting all those zero-bombers get to your head, leaving and coming back and all that. But don't let them. You're doing great. I myself, and quite a few others here on NG, rather consider it an honor when someone else is insecure enough to Zero-bomb our songs. But it's well-known that 1st pagers get bombed on a regular basis. Users that have been here for a long time have learned to accept it and ignore it.

So anyways, good song dedicated to your grandpa, but it's been mixed too hot. Looking at the waveform, there is literally no headroom left on the wavefile. Around 75% to 80% is where you want to leave it at. Especially for orchestral-based compositions, you want your mix to have lots of headroom so you can have more dynamic range. Other than that it's a wonderful work.

What sample pack do you use and what is your DAW? I use Cubase and EWQL Gold / EWQL Sd / EWQL Choirs.

Epic!

This is a Epic song but there is places that do need a bit of toning down in the Bass. But all in all everything is PERFECT
