Dubstep Preview - 0:52

This is a preview that I'm submitting solely for the New Grounds Audio Deathmatch Round 3. I absolutely hate submitting unfinished works here, because that's all I submitted for my first year of submissions in 2007. However, per the contest, I absolutely must, and I hope it still arouses something in you (even if it's only 52 seconds long). Interestingly enough, it mixes a "perfect" template for dub bass with the beauty and wonder of trance saws, so I hope that's able to keep you inspired at least for a little while. Other than that, enjoy this WIP/preview of the songs to come!

Haha I know, man! I've tried contacting the dude, and he never responds! =`(

Hmmmm

I'm going to have to agree that the composition seems off. A dubsteb song with ambient trance and piano for an intro, and a slow, generic drum beat, arp, and offbeat wobbles for the main timeline? You made a decent-sounding SONG with that? Mind = blown.

mr-jazzman responds:

Sarcasm not necessary. =P

Incredible

I absolutely love all your work, it's so unique. I prefer your audio page over Pandora's dubstep playlist. The gritty bassline in the intro was fantastic. So crisp, with so much low end. That piano was well incorporated, and the arp in the background went very well with your wobble synth. I'd love to work on a project together.

mr-jazzman responds:

Thansk a bunch Nate! Answer your emails! >=P

Good

I think the melody and composition is a bit sketchy, but the mastering is excellent. Looking forward to a finished product.

mr-jazzman responds:

Haha well...it's more metal-based. I actually wrote this melody on my guitar before I even put it on dubstep. (You can thank this song for inspiring me to write metalstep! ;) ) If you listen closely, it lands more on an offbeat, not on the typical downbeat that most people are used to hearing...hence, it doesn't sound "normal." But, to each his own, I suppose. Thanks for the review!

...Dang, forgot I submitted this thang on my birthday. =P
