So my friend from down south shows up online one day and throws me a tight beat in flp format - except it's only ten seconds long and just a beat! I decided to expand it out to its current status, but I kept it simple. Some of you will probably recognize the default (!) kick and snare from FL Studio, but no matter what I threw at it, nothing felt as real as the defaults so I figured, hey, why not?

Anyway, I felt like it had a bit of a "running out of time" element to it, so I called it "Defusal". Original work, collaboration with my friend "ShadoWeasel" (You can look him up, he has a page on NG shadoweasel.newgrounds.co m; his tracks are still a bit simple but his beats are tight so show him some love).

Rate, review, criticism, comments, I submit this for you guys but if you want to give something back feel free!

Nice!

Only reason I didn't give it a ten is because I think it needed just one more instrument. It was really good, but I feel like it needs a slight bit more tension. on a side note I can see why you called it "defusal". If not that then a title that had something to do with time probably would have emerged. Anyway, good work, and I hope to see this song come out again with a slight bit more darkness/anxiety.

Honestly this was a bit of an experiment into how I could expand a very short loop. I do hope to make more submissions like this in the future with a lot more polish, though. We'll see how much my buddy cares to make me some drum loops to play around with.

Some kind of stringlike synth or such in the higher pitch region probably would've helped, you're right. I'll keep that in mind for any future projects like this, thanks for the review - artists always appreciate it!
