Good BUT
I think the break down around 3:00 was completely unnecessary...
It kind of ruined the mood of the song if you know what I mean :\
idk maybe its just me
5/5 still. Intro blew me away
Hey! Remember "A Song, With No Title"?
No?
Nevermind, here's the final version recorded in studio with my band and with vocals! Hope you'll like it, it's part of our first EP "When Everything Collapses", available for free download on our myspace page (www.myspace.com/ tribes59 if you forgot).

I don't know, this song is nearly 2 years old now, back then break downs seemed so epic and awesome. But as I've always known this song as it is, I can't imagine it with something else. And I don't have the time to think about it neither lol
Anyway, thanks a lot for the review!
yes I do remember :D
do you remember? I was originally going to make a movie using this, but got caught up in other things :(
but so fuckin glad its finished :D
Yeah I think I remember too ahah! Well glad you liked it, just too bad you didn't have the time to make the video! Thanks a lot for the review :)
love
lol if i could spontanusly marry a song it would be this one
this butiful
And it would gladly accept to marry you :D
Thank you! :)
Not quite my style
The ties with the typical metal core style, especially the semi-low screams and breakdown at around 1:55 are a huge turn off to me.
However, in a free audio portal, with these production values, an original song (so tired of lame covers!), and some good riffs throughout the verses, this song deserves no less than a 5 of 5.
Thanks a lot man! Glad to see you took the time to listen to the whole song even if it ain't your style! We're actually trying to get away from metalcore stuff and get more into some melodic progressive shit, I'll post some new songs very soon, you'll see what I mean ^^
~Not too shabby!
I enjoyed it :D
Here's a few suggestions from me:
- I'd suggest to get rid of the piq-squeals/lower screams...they don't sound right (1:20-ish + 1:50-ish)
- Maybe a little more clean vocals? I mean, I know your not aiming for post-hardcore, but your sound is very rough/soft, so I can see more clean vocals and/or more moments of relaxed music
- Add something else? I can't put my finger on it, but I feel like adding something else would definitely help your sound. Perhaps piano? Strings? Techno? (God no, please don't). I mean you don't have to be the next Settle the Sky, but I dunno.
Good though!!!
Ahah thanks a lot for the review!
Well this song is an old one, that's why it can sound kinda rough and empty. We were still searching and experimenting you know. Our sing isn't very good at pig squeals, that's a fact, in fact we quite don't like em in our songs, they don't fit right as you noticed. I still don't know why he did some during the record, we had to lower some of them so they could sound more powerful. For the clean, he ain't a diva either XD He can sing kinda right, but always switching between screams and singing is a bit out of his reach. Piano/Strings etc would have been a great idea though (there are some at the end of the song), but back when we recorded our EP, we just didn't think about it. There are lots of things that would change if we recorded it now.
Thanks again for your review, hope my answer was clear! :)
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
