Yea I finally figured out how to do a good-ish reese type bass on sytrus and i made this.
Please give tips on how I can improve my drum n bass, and finish this song (its not done yet, WIP ya know?)unfortunately It has been zero-bombed by someone at my school that thinks all electronic music sucks

hey good jorb
there's drum, AND bass!
listen to zolzer on this one, i reery hope you understand what he was talking about, but i say
widen your bass out and pick the kick up on the higher freq's (try fruit kick if you use FL9, it's the shizzy)
thanksa bunch! yourr songs r good too
wow
you own my dnb song now
4.75 / 5.00 (+ 0.16)
thanks kalapsia but i still like yours bettah
surprisingly good treble
amazing high-tone coverage man. keep it! a lot of people fuck that up badly. sub placement/volume sounds fine to me.
1. put limiters on your snare and turn up the volume on it. watch the compression when you do that, please.
2. enhance the stereo on your kicks a bit and re-compress it. get the low tones on the kick to PUNCH, not bounce around with a big release. a limiter might help the kick, but watch the compression if you do that.
3. reese sounds thin, which is fine by me. it lacks any kind of hard tone, though. use a square oscillator for it. modulation is really good on this. resonance on the bass is good, just the right amount.
4. turn up those gentle plucking synths later in the song and use that to carry the song onward. that's your opportunity for a complex melody.
don't feel shocked by the '6'. i've NEVER given a song a 10 and i'm a seasoned critic. even featured music gets only a 7 from me. i like what you're doing with this though, it sounds good.
hey thanks a bunch for the advice i appreciate it! I dont mind the 6 as long as its constructive which your review is.
This, is, fucking, unbelievable
Brb, changing pants.
hey thanks!
