This song is purely inspired by Motio Sakuraba's musical works. I went for a different style here. This whole song is written in a 5/4 time signature. Uses a rock organ, piano, strings, brass, and accoustic drums. Oh yeah, the drums here were mapped by myself, too!

Hope you like it! ;D

Motoi Sakuraba

Motoi Sakuraba is a great composer. Not really sure about this though, it sounds similar to Motoi's works to a degree, but newer games are differently styled now ever since Motoi met up with Noriyuki Iwadare it seems.

Anyway, it's a good song. Also, Motoi didn't just do the tales games, Motoi also did the Star Ocean series and Golden Sun Series (as well as Valkyrie Profile series.) Whilist, Noriyuki Iwadare loves to remix Motoi's work a lot in new games like Radiata Stories.

Noriyuki Iwadare composes the music for the Grandia Series.

Sakuraba is a name...

...I hear a lot when playing Tales Of games like Phantasia =) He's the lead composer isn't he? (most times)

Anyway, this remix I'm guessing is one of your older ones? Because there are instruments that have quality differences compared to others. While, as usual, your piano and strings are excellent, the way some sounds are delivered (specifically drums) are given an LQ-sort of sound, when either done intentionally or not, I don't like so much o_o'

But still, that also gives an advantage to the fact that it really does sound like it comes from an old school RPG like another reviewer mentioned. Since you were aiming for old school, I guess you did achieve it, but you should already know that I like some of your more crystal clear orchestra & techno works =)

A nostalgic sounding song, for me.

It makes me think of some oldschool RPG's.
This is definitely worth a download.

Maybe a little repetitive, but that's a good thing. It sounds great, so it works for me.

5/5 For you, my friend.

UltimaTricksta responds:

Thanks! Although I did intend for a slight old-school feel, I didn't write this for an RPG battle or anything. Just a song ;D
