~DT~ Zelda 2 Town Music

Well my brother got home from college on his spring break, and brought his NES back with him. So we both played a lot of Zelda II (and Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat, lawl) And i spent so much damn time in those towns trying to figure out what to do that the song kind of just stuck. SOO i decided to replicate it with a nice piano sample. Unfortunately i couldn't find any sheet music, and had to do the whole thing by ear. So if it has a few slip ups, you'll have to forgive me. With 8 bit 3-part music, it's hard to discern a lot of the notes from one another.

ANYWAY, i hope you enjoy it.

And btw, if you're going to vote this a shitty rating, you obviously did so because it could use improvement, so do me a favor and

great song!

the actual song gets annoying if you have to go there all the time, this is a great remix and it is difficult to find both songs and sheet music for this game... exept for the temple...
anyway, great job!

funny

I got the game compilation 6 years after I got my first Game Cube 2 years after it came out. I hated this game but loved the music. nice work. Any one remember the "I am Error" guy?

Pretty good

I started playing this game when I was 15, after I had bought my gamecube and got that amazing zelda compilation with it. (Nintendo was genius for doing that.) Out of all of the games on that disc, this one made me the most frustrated. Unlike the other games, Zelda 2 seemed to be set on making it very, very hard for me to finish. I loved it.

I spent a lot of time listening to this song through. I gave you a 4 as review because, well, first of all the song is just a tad soft. I'd like to hear it a bit harder. Not like hard techno or anything, but just enough to give me a really good reason to listen to it. Something to give it a pulse. I know there are probably a few slip ups in there somewhere, but my ear isn't good enough to pick them out and, frankly, I don't care. As remakes go, this is 'bout as good as it gets. You did a superb job, especially since it was done from ear. With a bit of practice and a little more time, I think you're going to be something special.

awesome song man really

are you kidding this does aproach the level of greatness this is y favorite song in zelda 2 the adventures of link you should get promoted

DeatHTaX responds:

Haha, wow man thanks a lot. That means a lot, truly it does! I'm glad you liked it. This is, without a doubt, not only my fav. song from Z2:TaOL, but also most likely in my top 10 fav zelda songs of all time, lol.

Thanks for taking the time to review, man. I appreciate it

not a huge fan of the newgrounds people, but
w/e
its a good song, peresonally ive never heard it,
but it sounds good nonetheless.
but i never give 5s on remakes, so a 4 for you.

DeatHTaX responds:

I absolutely agree. No one should get a 5 for a remake unless it makes the ears shudder with delight...and this song doesn't quite approach that level of greatness lol.

And i know man, Nobody leaves a frickin review anymore. They just vote and go on their way without so much as a reason to why they would vote something a 1 or a 2...kinda frustrating.

Thanks for the review :)
