I downloaded a choir track from Dimoria some weeks ago and I found it back on my iTunes recently, when I heard that I said to myself "I have to metalize that crap!". So here is the result. Thanks a lot to Dimoria for creating a such amazing choir track. Note that it's just a preview.

Here is the title explanation:

At the beginning, you can hear the choir and the whispers, the whispers are from the folks who are attending the coronation in a huge hall (that's why there is reverb :P). The new King is seated in a luxurious throne and the former King is coming close to his successor with the crown. He ascends some steps, waits some seconds - the guitar fade-in - and finally put the crown on his successor's head when the heavy guitars enter.

The guitar solo symbolizes the King managing his folk, building a huge and powerful city, though at the end of the guitar solo, the kingdom declares the war upon another kingdom. The mix between binary and ternary shows the horror of the fights and eventually, they loose the war and another pretender is crown: the song starts again.

I hope I didn't annoy you with my story :P. Enjoy.

Gear used:

*Guitar Rig 3(NI)
*Zoom G2.1u Pedal
*Some Abletone Plug-ins
*Guitar Yamaha RGX Ty Tabor Signature
*Bass Cort A5
*Dimoria used Symphonic Choirs from East West, I think.

"I love it..."

That sounded so fucking cool. The intro is fitted in perfectly, it sets up the somewhat sad mood I get from this song when I listen to it. Everything was put together so nicely. It's sounds really professional and I'm sure you'll be famous some day.
This song also got me thinking of something. This song seems perfect for a scene in a movie that I am making, and I'd like to use it, if that's alright with you of course.

Strange at first, but the song really kicked ass. I really like how you programmed the drums in this song. The guitars were very well played as well. But, the only thing that you should fix would be the ending of the song. Make it fade out or something like that and it would be great. Overall, I really liked this song, Sonofkirk, keep it up!

Author's Response:

Hum the sudden ending was actually intended and was meant to create a sharp contrast with the beginning, the problem is that it doesn't loop perfectly, that's why is sounds a bit out of place.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked the whole thing :)

"Nice build up"

date: April 15, 2009

Wow, pretty nice build up here. Starts off slow with that choir, then the guitar sets in and it slowly but surely becomes another one of sonofkirks kick-ass metal tracks! ;)

However, the ending doesn't work so well. It feels as if it is cut off. The difference between the ending and the beginning is just too big. And seeing how this is labeled as a loop, I guess I have to take a point away from that. :(

But I think this would work awesome as a prelude to another song (just like Blind Guardian's "Trial by the Archon" is a prelude to "Wizard's Crown").

Author's Response:

Yes, it doesn't loop very well and the transition is harsh but I'll work on it for sure. It's hard to make it loop well since NG audio player add a 1/10 of second in the end of the sound file ;).

I don't know what is Blind Guardian but I will check those two songs and see if I can get any inspiration from them. Thanks for the criticism dude, I appreciate your reviews a lot :).
