Just to be clear... I only did the vox on this. The lyrics and all other instruments were done by one of the gods of the AP... FarCryDX. Check his shit out, he is the man!
I was quite surprised and very honoured when FarCryDX contacted me asking if I'd have a crack at the vox for his epic track. To be honest, when I first heard it I really wasn't sure that my vocal style would fit. Futhermore, I had no clear idea for a topic that would form the backbone for the lyrics.
A few days later the maestro of metal went a step further and sent me a set of lyrics he had been brooding over. It's a horrible cliche, but as soon as I read over his lyrics and started voicing them to myself "it all clicked" and I was immediately super-psyched to be involved.
To those of you who can't stand death/black-metal style vocals... tough shit!!! FC digs 'em. Vote however you want... I've already got what I wanted out of this. It was fucking awesome fun to record.
