EDIT: Not the final mix. I will consider putting the final mix up, but this is enough for NG atm.
Here's a gabber track I finished a day or two ago. Here's the story.
It started with the demo of Sylenth1. I had heard a lot about that synth, so I decided to give it a try. I was flipping through presets... got a bit bored, nothing stuck out to me. So, I decided to do one last thing, then put it down for a while. I flipped to the synthesized percussion section, and suddenly... WHAM! Gabber kick! I was like WHOA! After a bit of "fun" (meaning tweaking, EQing, and processing), I came out with 3 variations of the kick, each of which you can hear.
From there, the track just flowed out. I picked out this sample I was planning to use and put it in. I placed down some more drums, used the FL choir sample to map out a chord progression, and put a melody line on top. Then, I switched up the choir, and added some more samples n stuff.
From there, I sent it to some friends. Most found it annoying. Spikrodd, DJ Divinorum, and Redmoon Deejay liked it a lot. Karco thought it lacked direction (as usual for him). I then decided that I might as well submit it. I saw no reason not to. So, I limited it to fuck, sent it around once more, then submitted.
Fun facts:
Original file names: Gabber Try.flp, Annoying Sounds.flp
Decibels pushed on the limiter: 5
Total samples the track is delayed (compensated for): 3353
Channel track was output to while producing: ASIO 31/32
