"I began on this track after completing Fasciitis. I was fairly pleased with how the prior track had turned out, so I tried to follow the same formula of identifying some specific elements to recreate and let the remainder be only inspired by the original. I decided to take what was primarily a rhythmic component in the original track and treat it with a slightly more melodic source, resulting in a droning 'clang' that echoes the entirety of the piece. The original track is far more subtle with it's vocal elements. I decided to bring that element more into the active realm of the track. While neither of of my two Aftershock remixes are my best work, I think they turned out alright."
