So my old band, The True Dandys went on hiatus after my guitarist left for health reasons. My drummer and i sat around, both unable to play much in the way of a melodic instrument. I could play a reasonable amount of piano, but we were a Glam Rock band. We wanted to ROCK. Still the desire to write overcame the desire of chosing specifically what to write.

With the help of one of my teacher's at school i came up with this song. Harkening back to the days of Bowie and Roxy Music (with a long chill middle section and Floyd-esque solo) as well as the dark commentary of early 90s brit pop.

The spaceboy reference comes from the days when otherworldly beings made for great songs (see: Ziggy Stardust). The rest of the song is for you to interpret.
