A first try at something Horror-esk Film Score, made for the Halloween competition int he forums.

I wanted to put Percussion in but my cpu maxed out with what I already had. But it hopefully works without it. I'm upgrading again soon, so it may solve a few problems. Hope you enjoy it!

Great

Not very horror-like, as I expected, but it's surely a great work.
I like the variance of the structure and the use of a horn-o-rama like sound.
Overall, good job mate

Very nice.

Stunning piece. Not too horror, gives a feeling of growing despair, like something is following you and you don't have any clue how to stop or evade it. The beginning up to 1:30 reminded me of Sins of a Solar Empire - the Advent sect to be more precise - with its menacing music and background choir plus piano part. From there on, the song escalated, I liked how you still kept that choir in the background; the whole sound changed from a deeper, darker feeling to a more intense and visceral tune - Supreme Commander-esque almost, but with a medieval feeling - and made me think of two gigantic armies staring each other down from across a barren wasteland, then suddenly charging at full speed towards each other, clashing with the earth-shaking sound of tons of steel blades locking together under a rain of arrows and a wave of rampant armored horses. Great job, a solid 9/10.

ah-mayyyyy-zingggg

it should have been longer to be honest. like it sounded like it was ticheli or mackey, or possibly a collab of their minds. that was insane, but i really felt like it should have kept going in movements, or parts. i felt like it should have been at least 9 minutes longer. but that's also because i loooooved it and it seriously could be a piece that my wind ensemble, or even the entire ensemble should have fun with. if you dont know who John Mackey is, look him up and look at both Turbine and Redline Tango. (turbine is my favorite :P)

REAL AWESOME AS ALWAYS

i will say tho it sounds more like a magical paranormal battle music, like say constantine... than day a horror chase down.... tho that just personal opinion (as im sure depends on which horrors inpired

EvilRaccoon responds:

Awesome, I loved the Constantine Score! Thanks very much for the time to review my music.

:)

it was alright

i mean it was pretty good... but i thought it could have been more scary? i mean it sounds more like a normal song with only a lil twist of horror ;/

EvilRaccoon responds:

Hehe, thanks for the review. Yeah it's a different sort of twist on it compared to alot of other horrors you get here. Thanks though!

:)
