Lately I've been playing a lot with VG synths. I don't know exactly why, but I've been having fun with it. I think what I like about it is how simple the sounds are; it's nothing elaborate, so you listen to the melody instead of the crazy effects.

I used two plugins: The magical 8-bit plugin (as you guessed) and Quantum 64. Glad you enjoyed the track. This is one of my old favorites as well. Something about the melody.

It's very catchy in my opinion, and it actually does give a nostalgic feeling.
You did a good job creating something nice sounding through VG synths, most songs I hear using vg synths seem to be lacking in some way... No idea how to explain it any better.
Hell I think I'm even downloading it, it's still interesting after playing for like the fourth time :p
