Jill and I produced this mix for a friend of ours, bLiNd, who was seriously ill and hospitalized. In fact, many others from OCReMix.org contributed to an entire project of Super Metroid music ("Reserve Tank", to be released soon.) We picked the Maridia 1 theme, which was already creepy, minimal, and atmospheric, and developed the arrangement together. The entire song was done from start to finish in the span of a single 48 hour marathon session (minus sleep) and we're really proud of the result.

Jillian is the vocalist (hear more of her work at www.jilliangoldin.com) while zircon did the production. Inspirations included our previous collaborations, like Final Fantasy 7 - Deliverance of the Heart, Jill's album "Origins", the remix "Xenosphere" from Xenosaga, and various other New Age/Electronic songs.
