"Great job!"

date: September 2, 2008

For me this stage was like the "club stage," I guess it was all the light reflecting off of the ice! Either way, great track again man, I see quite a few people want to use your tracks in their flashes. Did anyone ever follow through with any of that? I'd like to hear your stuff in some games/animations! And to Bezmen, the reviewer below me, This game originally came out 12/24/88 in Japan, and then in 89/90 in North America. My point is that the song was created in the late 80's and thats why it has that 80's sound. And just fyi, there are some guys/bands on youtube that have covered this track as well.

"Could be great for a megaman game - loops fine."

This is a fun remix, but a bit repetitive for my liking.

The melody has that cheesy 80s feel and each phrase is repeated at least twice, often 4x. Suits the source material well, with its own cheesy style but it's just not my preferred style of music.

The 2nd half seemed to be just a copy of the 1st half, with added beats.

I did like those beats though they sound modern, yet stick to their roots. They got me out of my chair and dancing a tiny bit.

The repitition was just too big a turn-off for me.

This is a good remix and I hope that some skilled artist will use this track in a MegaMan flash one day. It just fits perfectly...

Only real problem are the drums, especially the cymbal. It sounds too artificial and not like a real cymbal. But finding a good cymbal sound is pretty hard, I guess. At least many audio artist share the same problem with the artificial cymbal sound.

Author's Response:

you can say that again i honestly think the problem is its to real for the genre of music this is! the sound is more techno the cymbal is well extremely rock or jazzy and those dont seem to like but so much. im always trying to find newer and better stuff though!
thanks man!

"Modern Megaman"

by: Coop83

I think that you've turned an 8 or 16-bit classic into a modern sounding piece that well and truly deserves to be here. All of the flash artists who make Megaman Flash should seriously consider using this tune as a menu tune at the very least for their stuff.

Loops nicely, giving the impression that you've poured a lot of effort into this piece, which I have no doubt you did.

"Good."

I enjoy listening to video game submissions like this especially if it brings me back down memory lane, but I haven't ever played a megaman game or even ever watched a megaman movie/show to be honest. So they have a theme song for every boss fight? I did enjoy listening to it though. It would make great background music if anyone ever wanted to make a megaman flash with this boss battle in it. Pretty good length too. Good job.
