This is a deep, melodic drum n bass song I made in 2 days.

I'm not sure what it's about; I just sat down at my computer, opened FL, and it just came to me. It's my most melodic song in a while. I personally like the strings and the piano. I used z3ta+ for once in here, I've had it, but I never use it. I should, it's good.

Well, enjoy the song, NG.

Tee hee. Hai 2 u.

Mkay. Nice leap forward. You're getting a bit more concerned with the ambience/melody of the song than the actual breaks. Not a bad thing. Not bad at all.

In this case this would most certainly come off as Ambient dnb, if that. It's a decent piece, but some of the sounds were out of balance. No proper impact to give the flow some sway. Sway is the motion in DnB that picks you up and makes you want to do a Windmill pump on the floor when you got 50 glowsticks around your body.

Really great potential is brewing in you. You're starting to seriously improve.

I'm not exactly a veteran myself, but I will tell you this, don't worry about making the beat sounding 'cool' as much as you should about making it stir something inside you. That is the key to any music. There's fun music, there's hollow music, there's bad music and then there's music that makes you WANT to buy the cd rather than download it.

Try fiddling with the instruments, see what happens :)

"Retro! :D"

Hey this is pretty cool! I like the 8 Bit VG Style here. The Bassline is quite simple and soft, the Retro beeping sound starting at 0:22 really made for me :D Also the Violins later transform it into a Mix of classic 8 Bit sounding and Boss Battle DnB and you really hit my weakspot in this Song cause I love all the tree influences - You ever listened to 1up by Spor? Its a pretty smart 8 Bit influenced DnB Track, search on LastFM or so...
You only don't get a 10 cause it was kinda easy made and there are only two things that keep the Track changing. First is the Retro beeping, second are the Violin. The Beat was not that supercomplex but thats not important. I am a hard critic sometimes and I always try to be. I don't want to give 10s all day long like a boosting Fanboy so I have to search for bad things too ;)

eh, wasn't meant to be as great as midnight, I didn't spend as much time on it, but this song was basically just to "express myself" lol.

Not fantastic, like some of your others, but I still found this quite good. I can notice a bit of improvement, which seems to be good.
Perhaps, for a change, you might be interested in submitting in the Ambient genre.

Well, don't get me wrong I like some ambient music, but it's just not my style. I NEED to have some fast drums (or any drums for that matter, but they have to be prominent, unlike ambient). I'll make ambient DnB occasionally though... lol.
