Ah, what is this feeling...?
Somehow, this piece reminds me of an old memory... It touched something deep within... I concur what BrokenPictures said. Hahah, good work!
A man laments his lost love. Though not dead, she may as well be, for he can never see her again...

Glad you enjoyed it.

Another rare ten to give away....
The oboe really shines itself here with piano playing simultaneously. Very beautiful and progressive. I think I better get started with using the brass instruments too. :) Very well done.
Indeed, I was really trying to utilize the most of the oboe's tenderness, glad it turned out well. :]
You mean winds? lol
Thanks again,
Rocky
just wow
you really do get the sence of a lost love, so sad yet so bueatiful at them same time
Wow, thanks, I hope so!

Wonderful
Wonderfully composed. Makes me want to try my hand at composing some melodies myself. Keeping it simple is always good in my opinion. I find that too many instruments can be hard for some one like me to listen too since I'm hearing impaired. But this fits my taste quite well. Listening to the individual instruments is one of my favorite pass time. Oh if you find this review kind of off track or that it does not flow well its because I have a weird way of thinking.
You should try! It's always a nice feeling when you get a good melody.
Yeah, simple is definitely good, especially for emotional pieces.
Haha it's okay--I think everyone has at least somewhat a weird way of thinking.
Thanks for reviewing!

Well in terms of how good this song, you can refer to everyone else's comments that I agree with. The instruments you chose really make this shine through. I also really liked the subtle tempo changes, that really pulled it together for me.
Going to be hard to beat in the competition. Excellent piece here. Fav'd, good luck in the competition!!

Hahah I'm glad you liked it!
Pianos are really beautiful instruments, and I had never gotten the chance to use solo oboe before, so I took it! Went well, I believe :P
The rits are really important because what they do is draw out the emotion in the ends of the phrases they appear in, thus the anticipation makes the beginning of the following phrase feel more emotional as well.
There are a lot of good entries this time around, and I wish you luck too!
Thanks for the review, the fave, and the 10 :D
