WORK IN PROGRESS

this cheerful number has been made for cnc mod, this is just a wip.

theres a lot of things need changing, the drums at the end sound a little odd, im not happy with the guitar solo (should there even be one?) amongst others, but i am going deaf from playing this song over and over in my headphones, so its time for my to take a break, and see what you guys think.

all advice and pointers, no matter how niggling are welcome! ill even counter-review your stuff!

"Not bad"

date: June 9, 2008

Sounds decent so far man. Though some of the sounds in the beginning might be out of place if this is played in-game with a fight going on. I mostly thought it was the bell/clock thing that comes up a few times. I also might shorten up that pause that happens just before the guitar kicks in. I like that there was a pause, but it seemed too long.

As for the second half of the tune, I think the drums are a little much. They just start going crazy and don't really stop. It might be better to try and build more of a groove with them. Also it ends pretty abruptly, if this does get played as in-game music you might want to give it the ability to tie in with itself.

Anyway, just a few thoughts I had while listening. I'll be looking forward to the other versions of the tune. Good luck with it man.

Oh yeah, also, if you want to improve your tone, try looking into Impulses. Here's a link to a forum that should help http://www.guitarampmodeling.com/view forum.php?f=32&sid=efa9e1d3c05c9ff3f1 dc48e31e78d18f

"Awesomeness"

date: June 8, 2008

Wow loved the ambiance at the begining, great precussions (Did you play them ?) and wicked bass. Really kick ass. NOW HEADBANGING. The fuckin' heavy part is fuckin' mighty. Naw, the guitar solo is kewl : )
BUT, two things : I'm not a fan of the fuzzy guitar distortion, but fuck. And, as you said in the description, the drums are a little strange.
But overall, it FUCKIN' ROCKS \m/\m/.
Keep it up, dude. 5'd Current Score 4.84 / 5.00 (+ 0.15)

Author's Response:

cheers dude- i agree with you on the guitar fuzz tone, that needs chainging bad.

the precussions are drum and conga samples played with a keyboard, i cant play drums at all, and was to lazy to mike up the congos:)

i will make the drums scan a little better on the next version too

cheers for the review!
