Dance and DnB combined, sorta.

Anyway, this is for the FL Challenge - newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/
909030 - where all you had to do was create a song using ONLY default FL samples and synths. Nothing extra at all. The lyrics and most of the samples are taken from some of the demo songs that came with FL, like the vocals and the kick drums. Fun fact about the vox, by the way - at the beginning, the male voice was originally female, and the female vocals were originally male. lol

Anyways, I've been working on this song for the past several hours, and I need sleep.

I just realized that the DnB part is suckier than it should be, but I'll fix that when I wake up.

EDIT: Alright, mostly fixed the DnB part. The problem was that the drums were too thin, and I still don't think I've fixed it properly. Now all the drums seem too loud or something...I'm not quite sure. It could be the fact that I'm mixing only with cheap headphones, as I left my regular speakers in Montreal.

After I clean up the project file and add some documentation, I'll be uploading it to the net somewhere and I'll give you guys the link. Maybe YOU can fix it!

EDIT AGAIN: 8/8/8, 3:05 PM CST. Uploaded a THIRD version, I think I fixed most of the problems. I added some stereo separation and fixed the main EQ, I hope. I'd love a second opinion on the mix, though. The .flp will be online later, and I'll put a link here when it's ready!

06/11/08 - Omg, top five! :D Thanks for all the reviews, guys!
Just to clarify - there isn't a single preset in this thing. All the instruments were meticulously hand-crafted. Also, I mixed this thing with headphones, which is why the mix might sound funny. haha
I'm still figuring out FL Notebook...when I get the documentation written, I'll post the .flp.

"Great, The voices really pulled me in..."

The voice in the beginning, the Guy-girl one, sounded a little weird, but I like the "female" male vocal. I particularly enjoyed it around 1:50 to about 2:30 ish, the voice there was nice.

A lot of time when music like this is done with vocals you can't get them to sound right, I think you did that here and I can't stop listening.

I'm no music expert, but in my opinion this is a great piece.

Your Audio's are truly Awesome, and you are by far my favourite Artist on Newgrounds. The Man's Voice at the start Sounded like Rick astley. It had to be Said. It's a very good Dance Song. I love the intoduction to this, as it Builds up to the Main beat, the main Fun part. Good Job! However, The Female's Voice is a bit odd, and not suited for this Audio.

Overall : Very nice dance Song.

I'm listening to this all day.. The style reminds me of Pendulum a bit and your song is really great for jogging.
I like the intro, it builds up the motion and the beat of the main part.
Then this progressive part at around 2:20, really nice to listen to.

Love it, excellent vox for the "male" and "female" lol. The male sounds more like a cross-dresser though. The female had a geniune japanese feel to it.

10/10 5/5 :3
