Not Heavy Metal, Synthie Metal.

This track is not the best, but allow me to explain why.

This is the first tune I ever made with Reason 3.0 and as such, I was experimenting. I wanted, mainly, to play around with the drums and make some cool drum rhythms and fills. The best way to do this, I figured, was by making a metal track.

Now, I have a hell of a lot of synths, and the ability to twist and warp these synths in a number of ways, so I figured, synth metal, why not? Unfortunately Reason has a problem I do not know how to fix. The programme automatically adjusts volumes considering which and how many instruments/synthesizers are used. As a result, this track sounded absolutely rubbish. The drums were silent and the distorted flute was hellishly loud.

To counter-act this I made each track separately, imported them into Cubase, and edited the volumes in there. I realize the flute is still too loud, but my computer has a 1500w sub-woofer pumping waves of under -30k. These are in fact, so bassy that you cannot hear them with your ears, you hear the sound through your feet. Pure thunder.

Anyway, the flute is too loud and the tune overall is a bit thin texture-wise. Because of the step-edit, export, convert, import, edit, export, convert process needed to make this son, I couldn't be bothered to make more parts. As such the song has only 4 tracks and 1 of them is only present for the first part of the song.

Anyway, I hope you can appreciate the stereotypical metal mockery and the fun drum-fills.
