Very good work! Her proportions and pose are well executed, I am particularly impressed with how you've done the multicolor glow. I assume you duplicated your color layers and blurred them behind your main picture? I'd never thought to do something like that, very neat. If anything I'd recommend you make her face a little more slender, and she seems to have a slight under bite, but that aside this is something you should be very proud of! Keep it up, and thanks for sharing :)

This is my first post on Newgrounds. I guess you could say that I'm... treading on... new ground, hehehe :P *BOOOOOOO! You stink!*
Lol, anyway it is titled Love And War, because that is what this mysterious and unnamed, random character is using as her weapons; her custom crafted chain-fans, Love, and War (as indicated by the Kanji on them). I started on a background for this, but who knows whether I'll ever get it done or not.
Any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated :)

Yes indeed, the glow behind her is simply the color layers with a heavy Gaussian Blur effect. I also used the same effect (to a MUCH lesser strength) on the lineart, to try and make it softer, blending the glow in with her. I was originally going to do a high contrast glow, as if she was in a dark room, and the sun was shining brightly from a window, but it didn't seem to make sense with her color scheme... and I'm not sure how to create such an effect anyway :P
The facial proportions are something that's more of a stylistic decision of mine; it tends to give the character a bit younger, and more innocent of a feel. But I definitely see what you mean, and will keep it in mind in the future for sure.
