Back when they were kinda funny
This is what I've been working on for the past few days. It went surprisingly smoothly, with not a single hitch. And it turned out to be my best piece to date. This is doubly surprising since I'm still so new to soft shading like this. I hardly even had to use any reference either; just had to find a few pictures of couches that weren't straight on, and needed a bit for Jons hand that's pointing.
What is this piece? Well, anyone who has watched GameGrumps on YouTube will already know. If you haven't, then check it out, damn you! Anyway, this is fanart for GameGrumps, because Jon, A.K.A. JonTron decided to leave the show after a year, so that he can focus more on his own YouTube channel (looking forward to it, and good luck Jon!). Anyway, tell me what you think of this piece.
Note: I don't want to hear any crap about Danny being a poor replacement for G.G. I for one enjoy what I've seen of GameGrumps Season Two (as I call it) with Danny so far, just as much as the original. Give it time. If you actually look back, it was much more awkward when Jon and Arin first started, so cut Danny a break. I'll forever miss Jon being on the show, but Danny seems like a great replacement, so settle down kiddos.

It's so sad he is gone during the channel's first birthday :(
Indeed... indeed it is. Still, I'm enjoying the episodes with Danny :)
Good ol Game Grumps! This piece is decent, it effectively conveys what you are trying to go for, so good work. Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewerâEUTMs eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. Your linework here, while appropriate, lacks style. The most effective way to create a good visual sense of style with linework is to work with more organic shaped, and to vary the linework thickness throughout. Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me!
Nice work! Going to miss Jon :c But this is awesome! ^_^
Thanks so much!
